Publication Scholarship application process

DFI Publication Scholarships are only available to DFI Research Fellows.

Applications for Publication Scholarships should be submitted before July 1 to be eligible for review in the current calendar year.

All applications received after July 1 will be reviewed the following calendar year. The first payment can only be made when the article is in print or it appears as forthcoming on the journal's website.

The author's affiliation with the participating university and the Danish Finance Institute must be stated in the article.

Journal levels

There are two levels of Publication Scholarships available for DFI Research Fellows:

  • Level 1: up to DKK 375,000 for a single-authored paper, paid out over three years
  • Level 2: up to DKK 75,000 for a single-authored paper, paid out over two years

  • Quarterly Journal of Economics*

Level 2

  • Journal of Corporate Finance
  • Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis
  • Journal of Financial Intermediation
  • Accounting Review*
  • Journal of Accounting and Economics*
  • Journal of Accounting Research*
  • Management Science*
  • Review of Economic Studies*

Journals marked with * also publish articles that focus on topics other than finance, and Publication Scholarships can only be awarded to publications in these journals, if the Scientific Board judges that the article has significant finance content.

The journal lists may be modified subject to the recommendation of the Scientific Board.
