The Danish Finance Institute has more than 70 Research Fellows, and it is governed by a Board of Directors, a Scientific Board, and two directors
The Board of Directors consists of 5 industry representatives and 2 academics. They are responsible for the overall governance of the Danish Finance Institute. The Board approves the annual report and budget for the coming year(s). The Board also appoints and oversees the two directors.
The Scientific Board consists of three external academics. The purpose of the Scientific Board is to establish an arms-length principle, and the Scientific Board settles issues regarding academic standards and questions that require academic judgment. The Scientific Board can recommend changes to DFI’s organization and current scholarship programs, and it prepares an annual statement to the Board of Directors.
Danish Finance Institute is managed by two directors. The directors are responsible for the day-to-day management, including approving research and publication scholarships that fall within the normal guidelines. The two directors also prepare an annual report to the Board of Directors and the Scientific Board.
Research Fellows are active researchers in finance that have their main employment at one of the participating universities: Aalborg University, Aarhus University, Copenhagen Business School, University of Copenhagen, and University of Southern Denmark.
